CINCINNATI, Ohio — In his return from turf toe surgery, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow looked like his usual self.
Burrow threw for 261 yards and two touchdowns in the Bengals’ 32-14 win at Baltimore on Thanksgiving . He hadn’t played the previous nine games because of his injury.
But as Bengals coach Zac Taylor noted to reporters at his Monday press conference, Burrow wasted little time knocking off the rust.
“Well, just how quickly he got into a rhythm. I think he’d sit here and say, ‘I missed this or missed that.’ I could feel the rhythm he got into and the confidence that he had when he was out there,” Taylor explained when asked what stood out from reviewing the game tape. “So that’s what we could feel as a team, you know, that he was really back to mid-season form for himself.
