A lackadaisical effort from the Lakers was punished by the Suns on Monday as Phoenix ran away with an easy 125-108 win, snapping LA’s seven-game win streak.
After a tight first quarter, the Suns blew the game open in the second period, then road the hot shooting of DIllon Brooks (33 points) and Collin Gillespie (28) for the second half to punish the Lakers.
LA turned the ball over 21 times, leading to 32 points for the Suns. The purple and gold were also outscored 28-2 in fastbreak points.
Devin Booker only played in the first quarter and did not return for the rest of the game with a right groin injury, making the loss all the more frustrating.
It was an offensive shootout early for the two teams. Luka led Los Angeles with six points while Dillon Brooks led Phoenix with five points. P
