TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Anticipated school closures in the Amphitheater Public Schools district can also mean job loss for staff members, even some who’ve worked for the district for years.

13 News has learned that the closing of Copper Creek Elementary could mean that support or classified staff members could move into either Painted Sky or Harelson Elementary, but the staff member with the most seniority at the district will have priority in staying.

A Painted Sky teacher who agreed to speak anonymously with 13 News she’s worried about what the changes could mean for her coworkers.
