The UK snow bomb set to hit in December has been upgraded to "blizzards" - and could last 21 hours. The UK faces snow as soon as December 15, with England at risk alongside Wales, swathes of Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The worst of the weather, as predicted by WX Charts, which uses Met Desk data, is set to hammer Scotland. North of the border will see flurries first, before flurries hit south of the border in parts of the Pennines and Lake District.
The weather will take a deterioration from December 15, with North Wales, southern Scotland, and Ireland all seeing a dusting of the white stuff, from Snowdonia to Dublin.
