PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University's College of Veterinary Medicine is urging community support for its Good Samaritan Fund this Giving Tuesday.
The program, launched in the 1990s by WSU veterinary students, has provided critical care for over 2,100 animals across the Inland Northwest in the last five years.
One of those animals is Penny, a pit bull who survived a rollover crash. Her owner, Stacy Nichols, rushed her to a vet in Cheney who referred them to WSU for further treatment.
Now, Penny is back on her feet.
With Giving Tuesday approaching, WSU is raising funds to ensure the Good Samaritan Fund can continue to provide essential care for pets, regardless of their owners' financial situations.
