Coronation Street newcomer Amy Cudden has spoken about her dramatic Christmas storyline for the first time – as fans brace themselves for what her character Becky Swain is really capable of. Show bosses have tipped Becky as one to watch over the festive season , as her sinister plot to reclaim her family escalates in dramatic fashion.

Becky's journey in the show takes a shocking turn imminently, so there's not long to wait for answers! In Wednesday's episode (3 December) , she tries to kill her nemesis DI Costello, just as the team at Weatherfield General are preparing to bring him out of his coma.
