NORFOLK, Va. — The Norfolk State women’s basketball team found its stride early and never let up, rolling to an 86-48 victory over Shaw on Monday evening at Echols Hall.

The win bumps NSU to 3-6 on the season, while the matchup served as an exhibition for Shaw.

Junior guard Da’Brya Clark led the charge with a career-high-tying 25 points, adding eight rebounds, five steals, three blocks and an assist in a standout all-around performance. Cire Worley and LeAire Nicks chipped in 12 points each, and Jasha Clinton finished with 11.

Norfolk State shot 43.7 percent from the floor and knocked down seven 3-pointers, but its defensive pressure set the tone. The Spartans forced 28 turnovers and converted them into 26 points.
