The Philadelphia Flyers’ night took a sudden and painful turn when young forward Tyson Foerster left Monday’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins after an unfortunate injury. The Flyers were on a 5-on-3 power play when Foerster wound up for a one-timer, only to immediately go down in pain.
Fans watched in shock as he grabbed his right arm, struggled to the bench, and went straight down the tunnel. Within minutes, the Flyers confirmed he would not return.
The injury also erased what had been a promising start to Foerster’s night. Just minutes before, he scored to tie the game 1-1. He finished with one goal, two shots, and a takeaway in 8:50 of ice time before exiting.
