OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) - Next week, Marion County Fire Rescue officials are set to break ground on a new station.

Lowell Station 11 will be located on the campus of Florida State Fire College.

The groundbreaking is scheduled for 10 a.m. on December 9th.

Fire rescue officials say the new station is a big step forward to improve fire and EMS coverage for the Lowell community.
