Authorities in Germany have uncovered the decapitated body of a woman in a wooded area near Monreal. This shocking discovery follows the earlier finding of severed hands, believed to belong to the same woman, which were discovered on November 18 along the A45 motorway in North Rhine-Westphalia. The woman's head has not yet been located.
The victim has been identified as a 32-year-old Eritrean woman, whose identity was confirmed through fingerprints. Her body was found approximately 70 miles from where her hands were initially discovered. Following the discovery of the hands, police launched a search for the woman, visiting a refugee shelter in Bonn. However, she had not been reported missing, and investigators found no signs of a violent crime in her living quarters.
In a related incident, her three-month-old baby was found abandoned in a pram at a monastery in Hesse, about 120 miles from Bonn. The baby was unharmed and was discovered carefully wrapped, with identification tags linking it to the deceased woman.
In connection with the investigation, the woman's 41-year-old partner has been arrested abroad. Reports indicate that he was taken into custody in a non-European country and is currently considered a witness rather than a suspect. He reportedly requested to be taken into official custody.
A homicide investigation is ongoing as authorities work to piece together the circumstances surrounding this tragic case.
