A former police officer who used her warrant card and claimed to be on an operation to get into a nightclub has been barred from working in policing.

PC Hannah Cooling, who worked for Gloucestershire Police, tried to persuade door staff of a nightclub in Cheltenham to let her into the venue in the early hours of the morning on Sunday, February 23.

The club told police officers and, when they approached PC Cooling, she denied what had happened.

An accelerated misconduct hearing was held on Friday, November 28 at Gloucestershire Police HQ.
