The decapitated body of a woman has been discovered after her newborn baby was left at a monastery.

It comes two weeks after severed hands, believed to belong to the same woman, were dumped by a motorway. The woman's head is yet to be found.

The body was found in a wooded area outside Monreal, Germany . On November 18, two severed hands were discovered on the A45 highway in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The hands were linked to a 32-year-old Eritrean woman who could be identified from her fingerprints, according to Bild . Her body was 70 miles away from where her hands were found dumped.

Police initially searched for the Eritrean woman after the hands were discovered, with authorities visiting a refugee shelter in the city of Bonn. But she had not reported missing and investigators foun
