On Monday at 11:57 p.m. a special weather statement was issued by the National Weather Service until Tuesday at 3 a.m. for Lower Columbia Basin of Oregon and Foothills of the Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon.

"Wintry mix coupled with near or below freezing temperatures could cause areas of slick roads and hazardous driving conditions. Event is expected to continue through the early morning hours of Wednesday," according to the weather service.
