Martin Lewis has issued an update for energy customers following the announcement of low or no standing charges next year.
This charge is applied daily for gas and electricity levied by energy companies on customers, with the energy regulator, Ofgem, setting the charges.
Current rates sit at 53.68p per day for electricity and 34.03p per day for gas.

However, MoneySavingExpert.com founder, Martin, has long campaigned for the levy to be scrapped.
During The Martin Lewis Money Show Live on ITV1 on Thursday, he was asked: “Is it best waiting to see if the standing charges come down in the spring?”
Martin replied: “Standing charges aren’t coming down in the spring on the price cap.
