The mother of a 17-year-old girl called 999 to say her daughter was being stabbed, an inquest opening at Gwent Coroner's Court has heard.
On November 13, Lainie Williams' mother, Rhian Stevens, called 999 reporting that her daughter was being stabbed in their home. The inquest heard how emergency services arrived at the scene but Ms Williams was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Ms Williams was then taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff where a post-mortem investigation was carried out. A provisional cause of death was given as multiple sharp force injuries.
