If you're planning to enjoy a glass or two of Baileys this Christmas, there's one thing you should steer clear of doing to prevent any unwanted household disasters. The Irish cream liqueur is a festive favourite but its dairy content means it doesn't keep as long as other beverages like beer, wine and spirits.
If you've still got a bottle from last year's festivities stored away, it might not still be safe to drink. But you shouldn't simply tip it down the drain, according to plumbing experts.
Many people dispose of unwanted drinks by pouring them away before putting the bottle in the recycling, but tradespeople at MyBuilder.com have urged making an exception for Baileys and similar cream-based liqueurs, which they say can cause blockages, reports Wale
