Police appealed for information after multiple crashes on the M42.

A silver car was thought to have been involved in an initial collision between junctions 1 and 2 yesterday morning, Monday, December 1.

It led to several other crashes on the carriageway near Redditch , police said.

But when police arrived at around 7.40am the silver car had left the area. West Mercia Police officers appealed for information as they worked to identify the driver.

The force confirmed no-one was seriously hurt. It said: "Officers are appealing for information following a multiple vehicle collision on the M42 yesterday morning.
