SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Today is a First Alert Weather Day .
It is a cool and wet start to our day, as showers will continue moving in from the west through the morning. The damp roads will lead to slower drive times. Grab your rain gear and drive safely! Rain continues to move toward the coast through the morning, pushing offshore shortly after lunchtime.
Half an inch to an inch of rain will fall across the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry, with locally higher amounts possible. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 60s during the afternoon, about average for this time of the year. Roads will dry out as we progress through the afternoon and evening.
Cooler air moves back in on Wednesday with lows near 40 degrees around the Savannah area with upper 30s possible for inland communities. H
