The Frederick County Board of Education is seeking a jury trial for a lawsuit that accuses the school board and two other parties of negligence after a boy was injured during a 2024 football tournament.

Plaintiff Ethan Pinkney, who was a student that year at Francis Scott Key High School in Carroll County, accidentally hit a football blocking sled that was allegedly left in the field of play during the 7-on-7 tournament, the lawsuit says.
