NEILLSVILLE − The Highground, W7031 Ridge Road in Neillsville, hosted an open house Nov. 11, on Veterans Day, welcoming veterans and their families from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to a community announcement.
Students from Auburndale, Abbotsford and Columbus Catholic contributed handmade thank you cards and messages for attending veterans.
The Highground Museum showcased its new “WWII Bomb Crew and Atomic Veterans” exhibit during the event.
“We’re deeply grateful to our veterans and thrilled to have shared this special day with them,” said Amber Smith, The Highground event coordinator. “Their stories and service are the foundation of our nation’s history, and it’s our privilege to honor them.”
