Carlito Milfort Jr., better known by his stage name POORSTACY, has died.
He was 26.
USA Today said that authorities said the rapper died on Nov. 29 “stemming from an incident” in Boca Raton, Florida.
The outlet said no further details were available, but police said that the case is still under investigation.
TMZ reported that a hotel worker in Boca Raton said the rapper was taken to a hospital early Saturday morning for a medical emergency. The worker told the outlet that he had been staying at the hotel for 10 days after checking in with a woman and a young child.
Fans took to social media in disbelief following the reports of his death.
