PITTSBURGH —
On Tuesday morning, PennDOT announced that it had temporarily reduced the speed limit on interstate highways in the Pittsburgh region as snow was falling in the area.
The speed limit was reduced to 45 mph on the affected roads. Advertisement
In Allegheny County, the roads were Interstate 79, Interstate 376 (Parkways East and West), 279 (Parkway North), 579 and Route 28.
In Beaver County, Interstate 376 (Beaver Valley Expressway) was affected.
And in Lawrence County, Interstate 376 saw a speed limit reduction.
Just after 9:30 a.m., PennDOT announced the lifting of those restrictions and said all speeds were restored to their usual posted limits.
