Adam was a "deeply loved son, brother, dad, partner and friend by everyone he came across"

A breakdown mechanic died when he was crushed under his own truck while helping a stranded driver. Dad Adam Mewton, 23, was killed after becoming trapped under his lorry as he was attempting to recover another motorist. Police confirmed Adam was pronounced dead at the scene shortly on North Walk Hill, in Lynton, Devon on November 22.

Adam - described as a "deeply loved son, brother, dad, partner and friend by everyone he came across" - worked for Field Services Recovery, in Ivybridge, Devon. His devastated family are now fundraising for his funeral.
