FOXBOROUGH – Kyle Williams saw daylight.

For a moment, the Patriots receiver thought he had his second touchdown in front of him. Instead, Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Barrett Carter tripped Williams up, catching him on his heel.

There haven’t been many opportunities for the rookie this season, which is why Williams knows it’s important to take advantage of every time Drake Maye throws him the ball. The third-round pick was disappointed after being tackled in Cincinnati following his only reception.

A week later, in his first Monday night football game, Williams made amends. The rookie had one target in the Patriots’ win over the New York Giants and made the most of it, hauling in a 33-yard touchdown pass.
