West Lothian thieves made off with a luxury motor as homes were targeted. Officers are appealing for information after a BMW was stolen, and another was the subject of an attempted theft.

The properties were targeted in Armadale, west of Bathgate. The first incident took place a grey BMW 520D M Sport was taken from outside a home on Thomson Road between 2am and 2.30am on Tuesday, November 25.

On the same night, they also tried to take a BMW X5 between 2.05am and 2.10am at Rodger Crescent. This incident happened only five minutes away, reports the Daily Record .

It is not clear what stopped the culprits from doing so. Cops are asking anyone who might have witnessed anything, or who has any CCTV that may have caught the incident on Thomson Road, to please call 101 and quote incident
