What’s in a name? How do we, as a country, want to be known? For peace and stability, or for the nonstop wars we’ve fought, even in this century?
President Donald Trump and his administration are making significant changes to how the United States operates globally.
And they’re choosing the latter.
Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Defense, is quickly moving to make the United States a country at war. He has unilaterally and unofficially renamed the Department of Defense the Department of War, although it cannot be officially renamed without congressional approval.
