CLARK CO. – A 22-year-old Tennessee man was arrested Monday afternoon after leading Indiana State Police troopers on a pursuit that ended with a successful Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver on Interstate 65.
At approximately 1:30 p.m., Indiana State Police dispatch received multiple calls reporting an orange 2012 Jeep traveling southbound on I-65 in Scott County driving erratically. Trooper Justin Mears and Probationary Trooper Devin Hopkins responded and located the vehicle near Henryville. Upon catching up to the Jeep, troopers attempted a traffic stop, but the driver refused to yield, weaving across lanes, traveling on the right shoulder, and nearly striking the guardrail.
