With the holiday season in full swing, Christmas tree farms around eastern Iowa are starting to open.

Here are four Christmas tree farms around Iowa City to check out:

Wilson's Orchard

Wilson's Orchard & Farm invites guests to escape from the bustle of city life and enjoy the outdoors this holiday season. This year, Wilson's has a plethora of freshly cut Christmas trees from KP Tree & Nursery in Michigan. For each tree harvested, a new one is planted.

Throughout the season, Wilson's Orchard will host a variety of holiday events. Wilson's Orchard is at 4823 Dingleberry Rd. NE #1, Iowa City. Its winter hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
