All the places set to be spared by a new UK snow bomb measuring OVER three inches have been laid bare by new weather maps and charts. UK snow maps show three inches of the white stuff heading for the country - with temperatures due to plummet.

Temperatures could fall to as low as -6C ahead of Christmas. Most of the snow is expected in Scotland, with 8cm forecast for the Highlands, according to WX Charts, which uses Met Desk data.

3cm could fall overnight on December 17, with temperatures bitterly cold across Wales, Northern Ireland and northern England, which face 0C, -1C and -1C mercury respectively.
