Several schools in Muskegon, Ottawa counties closed for weather

MUSKEGON COUNTY, MI -- Several Muskegon County schools and at least one in Ottawa County are closed Tuesday, Dec. 2 because of poor weather.

WZZM is reporting that Muskegon Public Schools, Fruitport Community Schools, Grand Haven Area Public Schools and Spring Lake Public Schools are closed, among many others.

A strong band of lake effect snow was expected to hit parts of Muskegon, Oceana and Mason counties hard late Monday and into Tuesday morning.
