LONDON, Ky. (WYMT) - One man was arrested with a DUI on Nov. 24.

It happened on South Main Street.

Deputies were called to the scene after reports of a man being slumped over in a vehicle that was stopped in the middle of the roadway.

Upon arrival, the officer found a Ford Explorer parked in the road with a man inside the vehicle.

The man smelled of alcohol, and after investigating, he was found to be under the influence.

The man stated he consumed “two beers”.

An officer also found a green leafy substance in plain sight inside the vehicle.

Eddie A. Ortega, 36, of Bernstadt, was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle under the influence (ALC. .08 (189A.010(1A) – 1st (Agg Cir).

He is being held in the Laurel County Detention Center.
