Liverpool City Council has responded after an award-winning company said it was being “forced” to consider staff redundancies. The ECHO previously reported that the team behind Limitless, a wellbeing centre and gym based on Dale Street, said it has no other choice but to think about letting people go after Rachel Reeve’s Budget announcement on Wednesday, November 26.

Limitless said the latest series of rising costs announced by the Chancellor of the Exchequer are going to push the already stretched community-focused business to “breaking point”.

The venue, owned by Alex Sloan and Levi Osborne, opened in 2023. Since then, the team claim their business rates have tripled from £400 to £1,300
