ATLANTA, Ga. (Score Atlanta) — It’s been a strange week for Class 5A, but after court hearings, meetings, virtual meetings and deliberation, Gainesville finally has its next postseason game scheduled, and will travel to Langston Hughes to face the undefeated Panthers in the quarterfinals.

The game was originally scheduled for Nov. 28 but was rescheduled following a string of rulings and appeals that have lasted over a week, stemming from the fight between Gainesville and Brunswick in the second round.

All players on the Gainesville roster will be available for its matchup against Langston Hughes following the ruling from the Georgia High School Association.

Friday’s matchup will be broadcast live on Atlanta News First (Channel 46) and the Peachtree Sports Network (cable and YouTube TV),
