Strictly Come Dancing star Carlos Gu has issued an update after breaking down in tears.

The professional dancer became emotional during Saturday's (November 29) live show after scoring a perfect 40 with his celebrity partner Karen Carney .

Claudia Winkleman notably comforted the star after the pair received high praise for their Couple's Choice routine to Lady Gaga's 2011 pop anthem, Born This Way.

Carlos explained why he got so tearful on Tuesday's (December 2) episode of BBC Morning Live, where he and Karen were interviewed by hosts Louise Minchin and Rav Wilding.

"Carlos, how are you after Saturday night? Because there were a few tears," Louise began.
