KANSAS CITY, Mo. —

Motorists out and about on Tuesday will need to continue to use caution after Monday's snow brought problems to Kansas City-area roads. Advertisement

Crews were out early Monday, however, road conditions showed they struggled to keep up with the several inches of snow we saw across the area.

Tuesday's road conditions will shift from heavy snow, to ice and slick spots.

Many municipalities are continuing to work to plow through neighborhoods Tuesday.

On larger roads that saw plows Monday, refreezing is a concern. With temperatures not expected to warm above freezing for most of the day, some salts and chemicals used to clear ice from the roadways won't be as effective.
