A teaching assistant has been found dead, with her teenage son now charged with her murder. Angela Shellis, 45, from Prestatyn, North Wales, was discovered deceased near football fields in the town on Friday, October 24. ‌

Her son, Tristan Thomas Roberts, 18, has since been charged with her murder . A trial is scheduled for next year. Ms Shellis was employed as a teaching assistant at Rhyl High School. ‌

An inquest into her death was opened last month and heard she died of a blunt force head injury. Ms Shellis' family said in a statement she was a "loved daughter, sister, mum and aunty and will be sadly missed". ‌

Headteacher Philip Collins described her as "caring and committed" in a tribute following of her passing. The school is set to close for her funeral
