SUPERIOR, Wis. (Northern News Now) - The Fairlawn Mansion is decking its halls for the season with a brand-new exhibit, “A Very Victorian Christmas.”
For the first time in more than five years, the mansion is hosting a seasonal display.
The third-floor rooms will showcase vintage holiday items from old toys and period fashion to early Christmas cards. Each of the modern holiday traditions trace back to Victorian origins.
Jordan Stish, museum manager at Superior Historic Properties, said the vintage toys are sure to be a fan favorite.
“We have three display cases filled with some of the most popular toys, from the 1800s through the 1920s, some of which people might recognize,” Stish said.
