STRONGSVILLE, Ohio

Traffic complaint, Prospect Road: On Nov. 8, police were dispatched to the new Sheetz under construction at the intersection of Prospect Road and Royalton Road.

An arriving officer talked to the caller, who was a foreman.

The man said for the past three hours cars have been flying through their parking lot -- where they were working -- as a shortcut to avoid the stoplight at the intersection.

The foreman requested an officer check out the issue.

Suspicious booms, Pearl Road: On Nov. 8, police were alerted by roughly a half dozen loud “booms” heard near the police station.

It turned out the culprit was a nearby church festival that included fireworks as part of the celebration.
