Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe , the National Guard member reported to be in critical condition following a shooting in Washington, D.C., that resulted in another guard member's death , is reportedly improving, West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey announced during a news conference on Monday (December 1) via NBC News .
Wolfe, 24, of the West Virginia Air National Guard, was reported to be showing signs of improvement, which included giving thumbs-up responses to a nurse's request, according to Morrisey.
"We were told that he also wiggled his toes," he said. "So we take that as a positive sign."
