FORT VALLEY, Ga. — It's election day in Central Georgia, but not for everyone.

Coming off of the Nov. 4 general election, many races — such as the Warner Robins mayoral and Public Service Commission elections — were resolved.

But while those elected on Election Day prepare for their swearing-in ceremonies, other candidates weren't quite done yet.

Some Central Georgia races, such as the Fort Valley mayoral race, are still outstanding. That's because those races were sent to a runoff election

In most areas of Georgia, if a candidate gets the most votes but doesn't secure over 50% of the vote, the election heads to a runoff between the top-two vote getters.

That gives voters another opportunity to make their voices heard. Here are the races on Tuesday's ballot.
