QUINCY — The Quincy City Council's meeting on Monday wrapped up business quickly, with several resolutions and two special use permits gaining unanimous support.
The special use permit ordinances that were passed were both for businesses to operate in different parts of the city. The first was to formalize guidelines for the operation of a landscaping business to be run at 2126 S. 12th Street. The permit calls for improved parking and driving surfaces to reduce dust and dirt blowing to neighboring properties and a fence to help obstruct views of the business.
The second ordinance will allow for the construction of a senior living facility on the north side of Maine Street near 48th. The facility is intended to be a three-story, 50-unit facility that will be built just west of Adams Point
