PALMYRA, Mo. -- Enthusiasm and turnout have been up for the Palmyra boys basketball team, who looks to extend its streak of district titles to three this year.

Palmyra brings back an experienced team that has started the season out 2-0 after a productive preseason practice run.

"We have a lot of returners," said Palmyra junior guard Hudson Bock. "They all know the system from the get go. There's a few new pieces in there, but we hit the ground running pretty well."

There were so many kids that came out for basketball this season that Palmyra had to cut players after filling its varsity and junior varsity rosters.

"Hopefully everybody's here for the right reasons and to be part of a team and something bigger than themselves," said Palmyra head coach Brian Rea. "If we do that, we can hav
