ELLICOTTVILLE, New York – Holiday Valley ski resort in western New York will open for the season on Friday.
The resort, located about 180 miles east of Cleveland, has received 31 inches of snow already this season, with a foot coming on Thanksgiving.
Holiday Valley plans to run four lifts from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday – Creekside, Mardi Gras, Yodeler and Tannenbaum, providing access to four slopes and the Rail Fun Park.
More terrain is expected to open Saturday. Weekend hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
A single-day lift ticket at Holiday Valley runs $93-$115, depending on the day. More information: holidayvalley.com
