Syracuse, N.Y. — Snow and poor visibility is making for hazardous travel across Central New York on Tuesday morning.

Onondaga County 911 Center dispatchers have reported slippery roads, cars sliding and several vehicles becoming disabled.

There have also been accidents on Interstate 81 and Interstate 690. No serious injuries have been reported from the accidents at this time.

The National Weather Service said the s now will continue through early afternoon , tapering off to light snow showers by around 4 p.m.

Forecasters expect a high near 34 degrees with light winds and total daytime snowfall in the Syracuse area of about 3 inches. Snow is expected to be heavier east of Syracuse.

Drivers are urged to use caution, slow down and allow extra time for travel as plows work to clear road
