Voters in the 7th Congressional District can head to the polls for the special election from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2.

Republican Matt Van Epps and Democrat Aftyn Behn face off for the seat vacated by former U.S. Rep. Mark Green . Four other independent candidates (Teresa "Terri" Christie, Bobby Dodge, Robert James Sutherby and Jon Thorp) are also on the ballot.

The early voting period ended on Wednesday, Nov. 26, with 84,356 people having already casted ballots. Davidson, Montgomery and Williamson counties saw the highest voter turnout during that period ( read more ).
