The Department for Transport has given an update on calls for more action to encourage people to take buses - including all-day concessionary passes. Calls have also been growing in England for all people over the age of 60 to get free bus passses - which those in Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland already get.

A massive petition on the parliament website soared past 100,000 signatures earlier this year. The Petitions Committee is supposed to consider a debate on the subject after it went past this threshold - but so far the creator has been waiting 159 days for a date to be set.
