WALTON COUNTY, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Walton County deputies are searching for a 43-year-old man who failed to appear for his first day of trial on rape and sexual abuse charges.

Mark Switzer is wanted by authorities after skipping his court appearance. He faces several charges, including rape, sexual abuse and drug offenses.

Switzer was last seen at his parents’ home in Monroe on Sunday, according to deputies.

Authorities are asking anyone who sees Switzer to call 911 immediately.
