A dead man was found lying on the shoulder of the roadway in Absecon on Sunday, Nov. 30, authorities said.

At 6 p.m., officers responded to a 9-1-1 call of a person lying in the shoulder of the roadway near S. Shore Road and Iowa Avenue and found a deceased adult man with visible signs of trauma, Absecon police said.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Absecon Police Department, in coordination with the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
