WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Trial began this week for a man accused of shooting his wife multiple times outside a Wichita elementary school last year.

Vincent Solomon is charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer and interference with law enforcement.

Jury selection began Monday morning, and a spokesperson for the Sedgwick County district attorney's office said opening statements were expected Tuesday.

The shooting happened the morning of Monday, September 23, 2024 outside Cessna Elementary School in the 2400 block of West 45th Street South.
