Pluribus, the latest sci-fi sensation from Apple TV , is the brainchild of Breaking Bad's Vince Gilligan. Five episodes have been released so far, featuring disgruntled fantasy author Carol Sturka (portrayed by Rhea Seehorn) as one of the last humans standing following an alien hive mind virus invasion.

Throughout the series, Carol frequently clashes with fellow survivor Laxmi (played by Menik Gooneratne), a woman from India who refuses to accept that her family, including her young son Ravi (Rayaan Kamal Khan), have lost their humanity. Due to Carol's emotional outbursts, it's discovered that intense feelings can trigger deadly seizures among the assimilated, leading Laxmi and other un-Joined survivors to distance themselves from her cure-seeking efforts.
